It is our privilege to announce that Their Majesties, The Emperor and Empress of Japan will attend the Opening Ceremony and Welcome Reception on August 1. We need some special procedures. Please read the followings carefully.
- Doors of the Main Hall (the Ceremony) will close at 15:00. Early arrival is strongly recommended. The registration desk will open at 13:00.
- The entrance of participants is possible only from an entrance located on the east side of the building, to which the Pedestrian path is connected from Tsukuba Station and Tsukuba Center Bus Terminal. The main entrance is closed. Route guide by several conference staffs will be arranged from the Station/Terminal.
- Please have, in addition to the Confirmation Slip sent from the conference secretariat via e-mail, a personal ID such as Passport (foreigners), or Certificate of employment or student ID, preferably with a photo.
- Security check similar to that at international airports is made upon entrance to the building. Request to open your baggage will be made in some cases. It is preferable to leave your baggage at your hotel before coming to the conference venue if possible.
- Please avoid too rough style (e.g., T-shirt, short pants & sandals) though formal wear is not requested.
