Rossini Lectureship Award

This highly esteemed award, which is made by the International Association of Chemical Thermodynamics (IACT), is given in recognition of a significant contribution to the field of thermodynamics. It is presented every two years at the Biennial IUPAC Conference on Chemical Thermodynamics, when the recipient delivers the Rossini Lecture.

The winner of the 2010 Rossini Lectureship Award, selected by the Board of Directors of IACT is Professor Dr. Gerd Maurer of the University of Kaiserslautern, Germany.

 

IACT Junior Award

The International Association of Chemical Thermodynamics (IACT) has established awards for scientists younger than thirty years of age.

Up to 5 awards will be made at ICCT-2010, depending of the quality of the applications. Each award winner will receive a certificate. In addition, the Conference registration fee will be waived, and assistance given towards travel and subsistence so that the Award winners can present their papers at the ICCT-2010.

Applications (in English) for the awards must be clearly marked and supported by the following items:

1. Name of the applicant
2. Letter of recommendation from the research supervisor(s) with signature(s)
3. Curriculum vitae of the applicant
4. List of publications
5. Abstract submitted for presentation in ICCT-2010
Applicants must be under 30 years of age on July 30, 2010.

A single pdf file including all of the above items (scanned or produced directly) must be submitted by April 30, 2010 to
icct2010secretary_at_chem.tsukuba.ac.jp
After the deadline, all application materials will be sent to the members of the selection committee, made up of IACT Board members.

Award Ceremony will be done in the IACT Business meeting (August 5, 17:10-19:00, Main Hall).

 

Poster Prize

There will be three Poster Prizes, sponsored by IUPAC. Selection of the prize winners will be determined by the Conference Organizers. Prize recipients will receive a certificate signed by the IUPAC President, a copy of the Green Book and a two-year subscription to Chemistry International. All posters will automatically be entered for this competition.

Award Ceremony will be done in the Closing Ceremony.
