Hirasawa-kanga Heritage Historical ParkHirasawa-kanga Heritage Historical Park
Here was re-created three "high floored storehouse" at the site of Hitachi Tsukuba country office in Nara to Heian era, It was designated as historic site in 1981. You can enjoy the exhibition and video presentation in Information center.

Mt. Tsukuba ShrineMt. Tsukuba Shrine
Tsukuba-san Shrine is one of the oldest shrines in this country, and its name appears in the poems written in the 8th and 10th centuries. It was built at the below of Mt. Tsukuba to honor the God of Tsukuba male "Izanagi" and the God of Tsukuba female "Izanami".

Mt. Tsukuba-san, situated almost in the center of Ibaraki, consists of two peaks, Mt. Nyotai-san and Mt. Nantai-san, 876 meters and 870 meters above the sea level each. Between the two peaks, there is a view spot called Miyukigahara, from which you can get a fine view of the Kanto Plain.
