The conference site, the International Congress Center, EPOCHAL TSUKUBA, is located in Tsukuba Science City. Tsukuba is an attractive venue with many sights of scientific and cultural interest; more than 300 National, Public and Private Research Institutes, and Universities; for example, High-Energy-Physics Institutes (KEK), National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and University of Tsukuba, etc. Furthermore, it takes only 45 min to go to downtown Tokyo by train (The Tsukuba Express Line). We hope you will take time to visit such nice sights, and that your stay in Japan will be enjoyable both scientifically and socially.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we welcome you to Tsukuba for the 21st IUPAC International Conference on Chemical Thermodynamics (ICCT-2010) from the 1st-6th of August, 2010. Our proposal to host this conference was officially approved by the IACT Board of Directors at a Meeting held in Sesimbra, Portugal, in 2005. After that, we immediately started the work of organization. We hope we will have an exciting program of oral and poster presentations in the new frontiers of thermodynamics, which should play one of the most important roles in the fields of science and technology in the 21st century.
