Kasumi-ga-ura
Kasumi-ga-ura (lake of Kasumi) is the second largest lake of Japan located about 60 km northeast of Tokyo. The general name "Kasumigaura" is used to include altogether the main lake (Nishiura), two attached lakes (Kitaura and Sotonasakaura) and the rivers connecting them. Enjoy an hour boat cruise!

Historic Streets of Sawara
Sawara that prospers by using water transportation. People took the culture of Edo, and had sublimed it to the unique culture. It was admitted to preserve the history spectacle, and to work on the city planning that made the best use of it, and was selected to "Important, traditional Groups of buildings preservation district" for the first time in Kanto in December, 1996. There are a lot of shops that succeed the family business from old times and keep doing business now.

Katori Shrine
Since the ancient times, Katori Shrine has been revered by the Imperial Household as a guardian shrine of the Japanese nation, and, honored with the title of Jingu, is popular for the Number One Shrine of the Province of Shimofusa (presently parts of Chiba and Ibaraki Prefectures). So the shrine is visited by a lot of people who will pray for the accomplishment of their wishes, such as wish fulfillment, good matrimony and smooth birth, peace, diplomacy, victory, and traffic safety as well as a protection against misfortunes. The present main shrine and tower gate were built in the 13th year of Genroku (1700). at the command of Tokugawa Tsunayoshi (the fifth Tokugawa Shogunate.)
